Staff Infections – May, 2018

It’s well into May, dear readers, and Maryland Deathfest will soon be upon us. That means most of the Last Rites staff will be heading off to Baltimore on Memorial Day weekend to spend some time at our Mid-Atlantic office, otherwise known as Max’s Taphouse, and maybe see some metal bands play. Unfortunately, our intern Ryan will not be joining us because he has to stay behind and work on some special projects, like cleaning the office fridge, inventorying the supply cabinet, and detailing Captain’s car. But don’t feel too bad for young Ryan—if he keeps his nose to the grindstone, he’ll be able to join us at MDF next year. We’ll need someone to carry all the merch we buy.

Ah, but you didn’t come here to read about the plight of poor Ryan, nor about our impending adventures in Baltimore. You came here to find out what we’ve been listening to. With four play-list appearances, the runaway winner this month is the long awaited, but sneakily delivered return from stoner metal legends Sleep, entitled The Sciences.
